POWER
[ UWE - YR3 - TERM 1 - ISTD BRIEF ]
This was an outcome that I created in response to an ISTD brief. It asked us to create a typographic piece of work that focused on our own definition of ‘power’.
I created a short film that highlighted the physical and mental power shown and felt on a rugby pitch, specifically within women’s rugby.
I used a variety of fabrication processes in order to create typographic elements for the film. Using 3D printing to create typographic stamps, as well as laser cutting into vinyl to create stickers that can be seen on the gumshield and rugby ball throughout the film.
The music in the background is an original drum composition created and recorded by me. It was edited and intersected into the video using the help of a local sound engineer.
